MATLAB is a powerful numeric computing software for engineering and scientific calculations. The name MATLAB stands for Matrix laboratory (It is a registered trademark of the MathWorks,Inc). It was originally developed by John Little and Cleve Molar of MathWorks,Inc. in 1970s for applications involving matrices and numerical analysis. MATLAB is a high-level technical computing language and interactive environment for algorithm development, data visualization, data analysis and numeric computation whose basic data type is matrix .The popularity of MATLAB is due to its long history, it is well-developed and well-tested, and this is also due to its user graphical interface which is easy-to-use. MATLAB has a rich of set of a built-in functions and libraries, also a programming environment, besides it has a large collection of toolboxes in a verity of domains: Control system, signal processing, and image processing.
